Why Final Expense

Final expense is a great gift for someone after one passes and once they receive a death certificate. Amounts can be as low $1,000 and as much as

$25,000.00. These are advertised as final expenses but they are not the best tool to use to pay a mortuary or a cemetery as one has to produce a death certificate

and wait for that to obtain the funds. Mortuaries want their money at the time of service or it is set up by obtaining a Pre-arranged funeral package. Those funds are directed directly to the mortuary and the death certificate is provided much faster. One can also order additional death certificates with a Pre-arranged funeral package to show to banks and other insurance companies.

Final expense is normally used to pay debts, perhaps provide some funds for a child or a religious institution to take care of something at a later date. Accident insurance isn't that expensive compared to other Life insurance products.

These days one doesn't know how they will leave this earth but if one leaves here by being involved in a car or public transportation vehicle, you can easily receive a small amount normally around $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 to help pay for things again later or help a family member or even a friend.  The one policy I recommend is a Return of Premium policy. Most folks obtain a 30-year term policy to cover perhaps a mortgage or to even buy out a partner in a business. People are living longer these days so if one obtained a 30-year term Life policy at the age of 30 - 35 and they did not pass away during that term, with a Return of Premium addendum to your policy you will receive a tax-free check for all of the premiums you paid in. At the age of 60-65 that will probably come in handy. Life changes fast but one thing that is guaranteed is your premium will cost much much more at 65 than it did at 35. So using your tax free money to pay for LTC policy or another term policy will come in handy. If you are interested in finding out what the cost for a Final Expense policy would be, please send me an email or give me a call. I will be happy to give you additional information and plan costs.
